- To teach Ss to read for general ideas and for specific information about threats to natural environment and do tasks

- To teach Ss some words and phrases related to preserving the environment

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:

+ Develop reading skills: reading for general ideas and specific information about threats to natural

environment

1.Lead-in

( 8 minutes)

- Show a video about types and causes of pollution

- Ask Ss some questions + How many types of pollution are there in the video ?

+ What are they ? + What types of pollution are there in your country / hometown ?

- Lead in new lesson

- Watch the video

- Answer the questions

* Expected answer:

+ There are seven types of pollution + They are: air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, radioactive pollution, light pollution, heat pollution and noise pollution.

+ There are noise pollution and soil pollution in

my hometown.

2.New lesson

(3 minutes) Task 1:

- Ask Ss look at the pictures on the board and answer the questions:

+ “What do you think which type of pollution

in each photo is?

* Expected answers:

a noise pollution

- Work individually to do the task.

- Give the answers

- Check and correct the answers
