1 Precaution

Please read the precautions as follows to prevent any damages to the LCD monitor and also select the appropriate tools for disassembly and re-assembly

‹ Make sure all power connection is removed Be sure that the LCD monitor

is in power off status

‹ Prepare soft cloth and sponge as working platform to place LCD monitor horizontally

‹ Hold LCD by the side carefully and DON’T touch or press panel directly

3 Disassembly Procedure

Information in this section is to perform the disassembly procedure of the LCD monitor Depending on the failures, replace the defective parts accordingly

Asus PW201 LCD Monitor consists of various subsystems This section

describes the procedures for LCD monitor disassembly In addition, the

detailed disassembly procedures of individual subsystem will be provided for your service needs

The disassembly procedure consists of the following steps:

3.1 Stand Subsystem

3.2 Board subsystem

3.3 Panel subsystem

2 Remove 4 screws on the BACK COVER, and then Stand Subsystem can

be separated from main unit

6 Remove 4 screws, and remove NECK REAR COVER

7 Remove 3 screws on the front side of HINGE

10 Remove 8 screws on BASE COVER and BASE BRACKET can be removed

3 Lift and remove BACK COVER

Main Board Shielding

1 Remove 12 screws on MAIN BOARD SHIELDING

3 Disconnect INVERTER CABLE from MAIN and POER BOARD

4 Unplug USB CABLES

8 Pull out the MAIN BOARD to dismount

3 Take away INSULATOR SHEET

2 Remove 4 screws, and take away USB COVER

3 Unplug USB CABLES, and then take away USB BOARD

3 Remove 4 screws on both sides

4 Lift and dismount LCD SHIELDING

5 3 tapes and LVDS cable can be re-used for panel SWAP

The assembly procedure consists of the following steps:

4.1 Panel Subsystem

1 Insert LVDS cable carefully and sticker 3 tapes to fix cables

2 Assemble LCD panel and LCD SHIELDING

3 Tighten 4 screws on both sides

4 Locate COPPER CLAMP, secure 1 screw to fix it, and then paste 1 tape

2 Place POWER BOARD on the shielding, and secure 4 screws

3 Insert 4 LCD lamp cables

3 Tighten 10 screws on MAIN BOARD

4 Paste 2 tapes

5 Insert LVDS cable and press down connector door carefully Stick one tape

to fix the cable

6 Connect USB CABLES, and then pack the cable into saddle

7 Paste 1 tape on USB SHIELDING, and 1 tape on USB CABLE

9 Connect Key control cable with KEY BOARD and MAIN BOARD

10 Pack up key control cable into wire saddle, and paste 1 tape to fix the

cable

11 Paste 1 tapes

Main Board Shielding

1 Cover MAIN SHIELDING over MAIN BOARD and POWER BOARD, and push to lock it

2 Secure 12 screw

4.3 Stand Subsystem

1 Combine BASE COVER and BASE BRACKET Tighten 8 screws

4 Secure 3 screws in the front of HINGE

5 Install NECK REAR COVER to HINGE and secure 4 screws

8 Install NECK FRONT COVER

9 Assemble stand subsystem, and secure 4 screws

10 Install VESA COVER, and turn clockwise to fix the cover, make sure the lock symbol is pointing to the mark on BACK COVER
