V Disassembly & Assembly

1 Precaution

Please read the precautions as follows to prevent any damages to the LCD Monitor and also select the appropriate tools for disassembly and re-assembly

‹ Make sure all power connection is removed Be sure that the LCD Monitor

is in power off status

‹ Prepare soft cloth and sponge as working platform to place LCD monitor horizontally

‹ Hold LCD by the side carefully and DON’T touch or press panel directly

‹ Remove all rings, watches and any other metal objects from your hands which possible to cause scratch

‹ Always wear a ground strap or anti-static glove to protect the parts from static discharge ESD (electro-static discharge) protection is required to guarantee the safety of product and personnel

The disassembly procedure consists of the following steps:

3.1 Stand Subsystem

The Illustration Below shows how to remove the stand subsystem

1 Unlock the clip and take out the base (A)

3 Dismount BACK COVER

3 Turn over the KEY BOARD, and then disconnect KEY BOARD CABLE

4 Unplug LAMP CABLES

5 Remove 3 screws on the main shielding

7 Disconnect LVDS CABLE carefully, and then separate BOARD SUBSYSTEM away from Front BEZEL SUBSYSTEM

Main Board and Power Board

1 Use spacer screwdriver to release 2 screws on D-SUB PORT

4 Unplug Key Board cable and Inverter Cable

3.3 LCD Subsystem

The illustrations below show how to disassemble LCD Subsystem

1 Separate LCD PANEL away from LCD BEZEL

2 Lift KEY PAD vertically to dismount form BEZEL

3 Remove 4 screws on LCD PANEL, and then take away the left and right BRACKETS

4 Assemble Procedure

Information in this section is to perform the assembly procedure of the LCD monitor

Asus MM17D series/MM19DE LCD monitor consists of various

subsystems This section describes the procedures for LCD monitor assembly

In addition, the detailed assembly procedures of individual modules will be provided for your service needs

The assembly procedure consists of the following steps:

3 Mount the LCD PANEL with LCD BEZEL

4.2 Board Subsystem

The illustrations below show the procedure of Board Subsystem assembly

Main Board and Power Board

1 Connect the KEY BOARD CABLE and INVERTER CABLE

2 Take out the grounded cable from the hole on the left side of MAIN SHIELDING, and then assemble MAIN BOARD and POWER BOARD with MAIN SHIELDING, please be carefully with all cables

3 Secure 3 screws

4 Insert LAMP CABLES

5 Connect KEY BOARD CABLE, and then install KEY BOARD
