I Objectives

- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

• Recognize and pronounce the letter Bb and its sound correctly

• Understand, recognize and say the four words

Introduction of letter , its sound

• Use a card with letter (or write on board the

letter Bb) to introduce to the students the new

lesson

• Instruct students how to pronounce the letter

name and the letter sound by saying: “This is the

letter / b / The letter says / b /.”

• Repeat several times and check students’

pronunciation (letter /b / and its sound / b /)

Activity: Sit and Stand Game (3 mins)

• Show the letter cards one by one

For example, show the card with a, but

- Ss introduce themselves

- Ss take out their book and listen to the teacher

- Ss listen to the teacher

- Ss repeat the sounds

Read one of the three words out loud (e.g Ba),

students must run to tap the card of that word

• Student who taps the correct card first will get 1

point for his/her team

• Call 4-6 students per team to the board if

possible

• Show the pictures again, have students match the

pictures with the correct words

the phonics cards of their team

•Play the song (Track 06) from lesson 2

The first team to find all its words before the

end of the song is the winner
