* Adverb:Yesterday (hôm qua), ago (cách đây), last week (tuần trước), last month, last year.

a REGULAR VERB (ĐỘNG TỪ CÓ QUY TẮC): V-ED

Động từ có qui tắc: thành lập bằng cách thêm ED

vào sau động từ nguyên mẫu.

* Cách thêm ED: Với các động từ tận cùng:

- bằng E thêm D Ex: improve -» improved

- bằng phụ âm - nguyên âm - phụ âm:gấp đôi phụ âm cuối + ED.

Ex:fit -» fitted

- bằng phụ âm + Y: đổi Y thành I + ED

Ex:worry -» worried

*Cách phát âm đuôi ED

❖/ID/: sau các động từ tận cùng bằng t và d Ex: wanted, waited,intended, needed.

❖/T/ sau các động từ tận cùng bằng: f, k, p, s, ce,
