Print out the Valentine’s Day cards on regular paper or cardstock Your kids can cut them out, fill them out, write a special message, and then hand them out to their classmates

cuts for the five slots (a-e) located down the center of the card Make sure the slots are as wide as
the message strip because you will be “threading” the message strip through the slots

Continue threading the strip up the center of the card, inserting it into slot b, from the back to

1 Print out your card and “string of hearts” on regular paper Cut out the card and the “string of hearts.” Fold the card widthwise first, then fold the card a second time, lengthwise The inside of the card should feature the words “I” and “You”
2 To create the “string of hearts,” start by folding along the first dashed line on the left so the half heart is showing like it is in the diagram Now, work your away along the “string” by making a fold at every dashed line The second half of a heart should fold under the first and so on, creating an accordion fold

1 Cut out all of the parts of the bee, including the body, arms, stinger, wings and antenna Using a
craft knife, cut along the dotted lines on the bee's backpack This will create a triangular flap that
will help you glue the bee together This is also where you will drop a piece of candy once y
2 Take the bee body and make the four indicated folds away from you Next, fold all of the tabs,
on the bee body away from you
3 Start gluing the tabs (on the top piece) to the back side of the bee Next, glue tab A (on the
bottom) to the side of the bee, tab B to the front of the bee, and finish with tab C and D Insert
your finger through the opening in the backpack to glue the rest of the tabs on the other side of
the top piece to the front of the bee Fold the bee's legs once towards you so that he can "sit"
4 Fold the arms and antenna in half Fold the tabs on each of those pieces so that they can be
adhered to the bee's body with glue Fold the stinger in half and attach the wide end to the
bottom of the bee with glue Lastly, fold the bee's wings in half and attach them (with glue) to the
back side of the bee Your Valentine's Day bee is complete!
5 Drop a piece of candy in the bee's backpack and make a special delivery!

1 Cut out the top of the messenger Use a craft knife to cut out the white space in the middle of the piece Make folds (away from you) along the white dotted lines, including the tabs Glue the sides of the Messenger's head to tabs A and B Next, put glue on the 10 small tabs (five on each side) on the side of the Messenger's head, then glue the back of the head to them Glue tab C to the top of the Messenger's head so that the top piece is complete Make sure that you hold each glued part in place for a few seconds before moving on to the next tab
2 Cut out the bottom part of the Messenger Make folds (away from you) along the white dotted lines,
including the four tabs Glue tabs A & B underneath the top of the bottom piece This piece should almost be taking a box shape now Glue tabs C & D behind the front and your shape will be complete
3 Cut out the tiara Keep it connected at the top of the heart and fold in half Bend the tabs towards you and glue to the top of the Messenger's head
4 Fit the bottom piece into the top of the Messenger so that character is nearly complete
5 Cut out the wings Keep the wings connected at the top and fold in half Put glue on the pink dot in the center of the wings and then attach the wings to the back of the Messenger's head
Your sweet Valentine's Day Messenger is complete Give it as a gift to a friend or family member

Step 1: Print out the two chocolate box PDFs Using the left part of the heart, fold along the
dotted line Glue or tape the left half of the heart to the right half
Step 2: Print and cut out the activities for the chocolate box (Parents should cut out the activities
so the kids will be surprised as they open up each date.)
Step 3: (See diagram below.) Fold the activity circles in half at the indicated point On the front
of each activity, paste or tape the appropriate chocolate (A to B) Be sure to match the number on
the chocolate with the number on the activity Next, paste or tape the entire card (C) to the
corresponding number on the chocolate box (D)
Step 4: Attach a stick-dot sticker (found at local craft stores) to each circle to keep it closed until
that day when your child will peel off the sticker and read the activity underneath Have fun!
