Let’s Go 2A – Unit 3 – Let’s learn

-o0o -Aims of the lesson: by the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify, ask and describe the location of

household objects

Teaching aids: student books, teacher cards, poster, magnets…

1 Presentation:

Stick the hidden picture on the board Whenever students (sts) make the correct sentences, teacher (T) opens a part of the picture until the end The hidden picture is

“the house” in the unit 3

 use it to lead to the lesson

“my house”

* Pre-teach vocabulary:

-bedroom, kitchen, dining room, living room bathroom

-bed, bathtub, sofa, stove, lamp, sink, toilet, TV, refrigerator, telephone

Review the pattern of describing professions through the vietnamese sentences given

by teacher

E.g: Cô ấy là y tá

Anh ấy là nông dân

Họ là những tài xế taxi

Cô ấy là chủ cửa hàng

Anh ấy là giáo viên

Ông ấy là đầu bếp

Họ là những học sinh

Teach the vocab in the picture

“the house” about the names

of the rooms in the house

Show the cards with pictures and the words below

(household objects)

2 groups, each group has 5 pictures on the board and 5 words in hands Sts have to match the pictures with the words appropriately The team who gets more the correct matches is the winner

Follow the teacher and respond

She is a nurse

He is a farmer

Listen and repeat chorally the words 2 or

3 times

Choral and individual repetation

Match the pictures and the English words given

by the teacher

*Small game: Slap the board

 to review and make sts remember the words they have just learned

* Summary by asking sts about the patterns again

* Give homework

T explains the word “where”:

using when asking about the location of something

T points at the pictures on boards and say the questions for sts to repeat chorally 2 times

“where’s the… ? It’s in the…”

T models 2 or 3 pictures, then let some couples of sts make the rest pictures

T elicits how to use the Yes/No question in asking position of the objects

T has the pictures on board already, then says the English words not in order

Sts look at the board and repeat both model questions and answers

One asks, one answers

Look at the book p.23 and make sentences in pairs

Stand in 2 lines, 2 sts listen and slap the right pictures on the board The student who slaps the correct word first is the winner
