Unfortunately, bats are frightening to everyone who believes in the old stories of vampire bats In reality, only three species of bats feed on blood, usually only from small animals It is true, however, that vampire bats can spread diseases such as rabies to other species Even though many people will continue to dislike and fear bats,

it is important to remember that they are an important part of the ecology, especially in rainforests Anything that endangers to bats in these areas will also affect the region’s fragile ecosystems Anyone who is interested in learning more about bats can visit his or her local library
