* Collecting Stamps

My hobby is collecting stamps I have been collecting both local stamps and foreign

stamps for more than 5 years so I have a great

collection now

My hobby got started/ started when I was a little boy I had always wanted the

beautiful pictures on the stamps so I thought

of a way to keep them At first I only

collected local stamps which I got from the

letters of my friends and relatives Then my

relatives went abroad so my collection of

foreign stamps started to increase

Now I have two albums, one for local and the other for foreign ones I classify the

stamps into categories before putting them

into my stamp albums I put stamps of

animals, flowers, birds, landscape, on

different pages, which makes it easier to look

for them

When I have extra stamps of the same kind I often exchange them with my friends

to enrich my collection If I have money, I

also go to the post office to buy some

valuable ones

I’m very proud of my collection It helps to broaden my knowledge about the

world around me and it is also an effective

way to improve my geography

I plan to join the stamp exhibitions to learn from experienced stamps collectors and

maybe I can expose my collection at an

exhibition in the future

* Collecting book

I’m very much interested in collecting books and have a book collection at home I

started collecting books when I was a 12 -

year - old student I buy the books whenever I

- Ss write the paragraph individually

Trang 5

find them interesting Near my house are several book shops, so when I have free time

I go there to find books for my collection

Sometimes I also buy books in second-hand book stalls, and occasionally, my parents and friends give me some

Now I have a total of about 100 books and I keep them all in a big bookshelf in my bedroom I classify them into different categories: books about history, books about famous people, and books about science…

I love collecting books because books help me broaden my knowledge and know more about the world Also, reading books train my patience

In the future, I will continue to make

my collection richer and richer I hope to have

a library of my own
