A Objectives:

1 Aim: Students listen to the advantages of reading

books and the disadvantages of over reading.

2 Knowledge: By end of the lesson Ss will be able to:

- Develop their skill of listening for specific information

- Use the acquitted language and knowledge to talk about

hobbies

- Know the words related about the hobbies and complete the

exercises, task 1 and task 2

3 Skill-based: listen.

I Warm up(7m)

Make as many sentences as possible with

the words provided

Stamps - books - swimming - music

II New lesson.

1 Pre-listening (8m)

Brainstorming

- Get Ss to work in pairs to brainstorm all

the benefits of reading books in 3 minutes

- After 3 minutes T calls on the pairs with

the biggest number of benefits to give the

answers

- Ask the other pairs to add more ideas

Vocabulary

- Ask Ss open their books,page 150

Listen and repeat:

magazines (n): Tạp chí

continually (adv):liên tục, không ngớt

otherwise (adv):mặt khác, nếu không thì…

gigantic (adj): khổng lồ

profitably (adv): cú lợi

available (adj):sẵn có để dùng,có thể kiếm

- Call on the group to person their ideas

and other groups to add some more ideas
