II New lesson

- Sts look through the book, identify the topic in 16

units and 6 consolidations

- Sts understand the structure of each unit ( 5 parts)

1 Reading: Sts guess the topic of a unit,

information and language in use to develop

comprehension reading skill.

2 Speaking: Sts know how to practise speaking

based on the function of language and the topic

3 Listening: Sts know how to improve their

comprehension listening and know how to

pronunciate fluently and clearly.

4 Writing: Sts know how to develop writing skill in

difference kinds of styles.

5 Language focus: sts revise their pronunciation,

grammar and vocabulary.

Lesson 1: Reading

Time: 45 mn

 Objectives:

- Knowledge: Sts understand abt the passage and then can guess meaning in

context, identify main ideas, and answer the qs

- Educational aim: Sts should learn and know how is a true friendship

- Skills: Sts practise exchanging their ideas

- Subskill: reciting the poem, discussing and writing abt “why do we need to have

friends”

- Method: Communicative approach

 Teaching aids

- Book, ruler, chalk, bb, reference book, pictures

* Assumptions

- Sts understand the use of the present simple and some common knowledge abt the true

friendship

* Anticipated problem

- Some sts have vocab problems

personalities
