house and draw a simple plan of their house then tell their partner about it

Step 2: While speaking(17ms):

- T shows the picture on p.21, sets the sence and

elecits from Ss

- Let Ss work in pairs, one looks at the picture of

Nick’s house on p.21, another looks at the picture

of Mi’s house on p.25 and then find the

differences between the 2 houses

- T models with a student:

T:Nick lives in a country house Where does Mi

live?

S1: She lives in a town house.

T: How many rooms are there in Mi’s houuse?

S1: There are 6 rooms What about Nick’s house?

How many rooms are there?

T:

- Let Ss practise speaking in pairs, not to look at

each other’s picture T notices Ss to note down

the differences between the two houses After

some minutes, the pair which has the most

differences will be the winner

- T asks some pairs to act out the conversation

- T corrects Ss’ mistakes

Step3: Post speaking(7ms):

*Drawing the picture of their houses.

- T asks Ss to draw a simple plan of their house in

5-7’

- T notices Ss which points should be covered in

their pictures

- After finishing drawing, Tasks Ss work in pairs

to tell each other about their house

- T goes round to check, takes notes, and corrects

work in pairs, one looks at the picture of Nick’s house

on p.21, another looks at the picture of Mi’s house on p.25 and then find the differences between the 2 houses

- Skill: To introduce the students how to draw a plan of the room then describe it
