2 Reduction of adverb clauses of reason (Rút gọn mệnh đề trạng từ chỉ nguyên nhân).

Mệnh đề trạng từ chỉ nguyên nhân có thể được rút gọn thành cụm từ chỉ nguyên nhân(reason / cause phrases) với cụm giới từ (preposition phrases) :

BECAUSE (bởi vì) + noun / gerund phrase

e.g.: This man can’t see well because he’s old

⟶ This man can’t see well because of his old age

e.g This boy must retake the same class becausổ he’s lazy

⟶ This boy must retake the same class due to his laziness

b) because + noun + be + adjective.

because of + the + adjective + noun,
