A
The Bill of Quantities are to be read in conjunction with all other sections contained in these documents
which shall be construed as being complementary to one another The Quantities given are for
information only and shall be checked and verified by the Contractors No Claim shall be allowed for
errors or omissions int his Bill of quantities.

Allow against the items or in the prices for everything contained in these Bill of Quantities which has a
monetary value Items which are not priced or have dashes or other like marks inserted in the cash
columns will be deemed to be of no value or included elsewhere in the tender and no Payment
whatsoever will be included in Interim Payment in the event of no amounts being inserted Lump sums are
not to be given when unit rates are applicable.

All rates, amounts and / or percentage values in these Bills shall be entered up to two decimal places gor
United States Dollars and no decimal places for Vietnamese Dong In cases where more than two
decimal places are entered, only the first two decimals will be used.
D The rates and prices entered in the Bill shall be deemed to be the full inclusive value of the work covered
by the several items including the following, unless expressly stated otherwise;
(i) Labour and costs in connection therewith.
(ii) The supply of materials, equipment, plant, goods storage and cost in connection therewith including
waste and delivery to Site.
(iii) All construction equipment plant and costs in connection therewith.
(iv) Fixing, erecting and installing or placing of materials, equipment, plant and goods in position including
all necessary temporary works and materials.
(v) Movement of piling frames into position and about the Site, any necessary excavation or filling
required to place the frames, raising or lowering the frames and any staging, barges or the like required to
support the frames.
(vi) Driving/boring through and/or breaking up any soil material, sandstone, shale, rock or boulders and
the like at any depth.
(vii) Removal of underground obstructions together and all work in connection therewith.
(viii) Removing all surplus spoil due to piling works from Site.
(ix) Replacing incorrectly piles, damaged piles and piles which fail under tests.
(x) Safety equipment and measures such as oxygen tanks, breathing apparatus, etc for workers operating
below the surface.
(xi) The cost of any additional work due to eccentricity of piles and/or damaged or displaced piles.
(xii) Idling time for all equipment, plant and labour for whatever reason, except on particular instruction
from the Construction Manager
(xiii) Sampling and testing materials, equipment, plant and goods, testing, workmanship, providing,
storing, packing and transporting samples to and from the place of testing
(xiv) General obligations, liabilities and risks involved in the execution of the Works set forth or reasonably
implied in the tender documents including procurement of all necessary insurances.
(xv) Establishment charges, overheads and profit.
(xvi) Payment of all taxes, fees, charges as maybe imposed on the Contractor or due to the Works.
(xvii) Items against which no price or rate is entered shall be deemed to be covered by the other rates and
prices in the Bill of Quantities.
(xviii) All rates and prices entered here inbelow shall be deemed to be in Vietnam Dongs.

The Contractor is deemed to have read all other related documents, Specflcations and Bills of Quantities,
etc and in particular to have studied the tender drawings to be fully aware of the full extent of the Works
described under each Direct Contractor's Works and the corresponding interface with the Contractor's
own Work.
