Learn to sound – learn new words

OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- recognize words such as "Dd, /d/, duck, swim".

- pronounce letter “D”, its sound, and words “duck, swim”.

- understand the meaning of the words

I INTRODUCTIONWeather Report:

- Ask the class about today’s

weather and put the weather symbol on the board

 Warm - up :

- Teacher plays the Warm up

Song 1 “Do it”

(sing and do actions with students)

Review and Lead-in

- Teacher asks children to

review letter C(previous lesson)

- Teacher introduces the letter

- sing a song and do actions

- Listen

II PRESENTATION

Learn to sound ( Dd, /d/,

duck, swim)

- Teacher lets students recognize the letter 'D' by clicking on the

media and asking students to listen two or three times

pronounce the words and the sound correctly

- Teacher clicks the symbol:

“Sound” on the media.

- Let students listen “, /d/, duck” 3 times and then repeat.

- Teacher shows the flashcards with “letter D, duck”

- Let students recognize the meaning of the word “duck”.

- Teacher checks students’

pronounciation

- Let students practice saying

words as a whole class, groups, individuals

- Teacher clicks on the symbol

“A yellow duck, a white duck”.

- Students know how to write letter 'D' in a correct way.
