Learn to sound – learn new words

OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- recognize words such as "Aa, /a/, apple, big, round".

- pronounce letter “A”, its sound, and words “apple, big, round”.

- understand the meaning of the words.

Skill : Listening, Speaking, Reading

Key vocabulary:

“Aa, /a/, apple, big, round”.

I INTRODUCTIONWeather Report :

- Ask the class about today’s weather and put the weather symbol on the board

Warm - up :

sing a song and do actions

- Teacher asks children to review the alphabet song 1

- Teacher introduces the letter by saying a short simple sentence "Today

- Teacher lets students recognize the

letter 'A' by clicking on the media and

asking students to listen two or three times

- Teacher helps students pronounce the words and the sound correctly

- Let students listen “A, /a/, apple” 3

times and then repeat

- Teacher shows the flashcards with

“letter A, apple”

- Let students recognize the meaning of

the word “apple”.

phrases such as “one green apple, two red apples”.

- Students will be able to understand the meaning of the phrases such

as “one green apple, two red apples”

- Students know how to write letter 'A' in a correct way.

Skill : Listening, Speaking, reading

Teaching Focus:

Students understand and communicate with language items about

colours, numbers “one green apple, two red apples”.
