AS IF / AS THOUGH

AS IF / AS THOUGH is used to describe an assumption about sb/sth This assumption may be either true or false, likely or not likely, possible or impossible.

If the assumption may be true, or likely, or possible, we

often use the present tenses or future tenses to express it.

Ex: She looks as if

she is going to faint.

We use AS to express the fact that something happens in a particular way, a way that you already had something in your mind about it.
