-Checking by understanding by play the game: “Matching”

-Calls some students to repeat

- Says: Now open your books please Look at the pupils in the picture of page 12 and tell me What they are saying

- Use a poster and two puppets to present the situation

3 Controlled – practice:

- Plays the tape and asks them to listen

- Plays the tape again for pupils to repeat each line in the speech as they point to it

- Holds up the specific character puppet to present the situation and tells the whole class to say

apporiate line in the dialogue

- Have the whole class repeat all the phrases a few times to reinforce their pronunciation

- Gives pupils a chance to practice asking and answering about their names without looking at the board

- Calls on a group of six to the front of the class Asks three of them to repeat each line of the chant and the other three clap the syllables then change their roles

- Have pupils practice saying the chant and clapping the syllables in groups Goes around and offers help if necessary and correct pronunciation error
