1 Before you

read

Ask Ss to answer the following questions:

 Do you have many friends?

 Who is your best friend?

 Why do you consider him/ her as your best friend?

- Lead in the reading passage

• If necessary, give them some tips

on doing this task

• Ask Ss to read words and phrases

in the box carefully, then fill in theblank with the most suitable one
