Technical Specifications for Cable Bundling
1 Arrange the cables in a bundle closely, straight, and
neatly
2 The cables in a trough may not be bundled Arrange them
neatly They cannot cross each other They cannot overflow the trough
3 Route the signal cables separately from the power cables.
4 Bend a cable, if required, evenly and softly
5 The total thickness of the cables under a floor cannot
exceed 3/4 of the floor height.
6 The cables can cross within one meter after they exit the cabinet.
7 Do not damage the insulation layer of the cables when
bundling them.
8 Do not join cables.

Keep the cables away from the heat dissipation hole in cabinet top.
A The row and column indicator control cables include a row indicator signal cable, column indicator signal cable, and row indicator cascade cable They drive the row and column
indicators on top of the cabinet.
B A row indicator signal cable and a column indicator signal cable share the same structure They have a 4PIN connector at one end and six UT soldering flakes at the other Fix the three soldering flakes on the three black cables to one side of the
three row and column indicators Fix the other three soldering flakes on the red, yellow, and green cables to the other side of the red, yellow, and green row and column indicators.

C For C841AMD (widely used in the previous
cabinets) insert the row indicator in J8 and the
column indicator in J9 in the AMD in the power
distribution box J6 and J7 are connected using the
row indicator cascade cable.
D For CB01AMD (used in the later assembled
cabinets) insert the row indicator in J6 and the
column indicator in J7 in the power distribution
box J4 and J5 are connected using the row
indicator cascade cable The row indicator cascade
cable has a 4PIN connector at either end.

Trang 46Huawei Emergency Serial Port Cable
The emergency serial ports refer to the serial data
paths throughout the entire AM/CM and SPM system
They have connection with all subracks except CKM
They are applicable for status data report of PWS,
alarm data report of AMD, and data report and
equipment maintenance of other boards in emergency
cases The entire emergency serial port system
consists of the serial port cables in various lengths
and the connected communication nodes The cables
inside a cabinet have already been installed before the
delivery The cables between cabinets need be
installed on the site There are the following two
categories of serial port cables:
Common emergency serial port communication
cable
Trang 47Emergency Serial Port Cable
Common emergency serial port communication cable
1 All common emergency serial port communication
cables have a 4PIN connector at either end They connect
the nodes in AM/CM and SPM, including the CB01AMD in
the power distribution box and the backplanes of the
subracks.
2 There are two serial ports in the upper right (seen from
the back) of the backplane of each subrack that requires
emergency serial connection Connect the two ports in
parallel All of the ports can be connected with one serial
bus.
3 JT1 and JT2 are the serial ports in a backplane J12 and
J13 are the serial ports in AMD.
4 There are five types of emergency serial port
communication cable according to the length: 0.4-m cable, 0.8-cable, 1.2-m cable, 2.5-m cable and 4-m cable.
Trang 48Huawei Emergency Serial Port Cable
Emergency serial port communication cable of BAM
1 An emergency serial port communication cable of
BAM connects the serial port in AMD in the BAM with
the emergency serial port in the basic cabinet.
2 An emergency serial port communication cable
has a 4PIN connector at either end Insert one end in
the serial port J12 in CB01AMD in the main control
subrack, and the other end in the serial port J12 (or
J13) in CB01AMD in the BAM.
Trang 49Power and Signal Cable of Fan
The power and signal cable of fan supplies working
power for the fans and reporting the status signals of
the fans to the monitor unit It has a blue power
connector, a black power connector, and a fan signal
connector The power connectors are inserted in a
busbar The fan signal connector is inserted in J2 in
CB01AMD(or J1.7 in C841AMD) in the power
distribution box They have been inserted before the
delivery Pay attention to the power connector polarity
when changing the connectors on the site.

Clock Cable
A The clock cables provide 8K and 2M reference clock
sources for the subracks.
B The clock cables are routed from the CKM subrack to
the subracks that require the reference clock sources.
C A clock cable is a four-pair twisted cable Its connectors are: 2 5PIN + 2 2 5PIN.
Trang 53Network Cable Terminal
A The terminal system of AM/CM is a distributed and
hierarchical Server/Client architecture The Server side consists of the BAM Server and Switch There is a WS on the side of a Client.
