Personal Safety -Handling Goods

Sufficient manpower and reliable transportation tools are required for handling the equipment Make sure that ropes must be tied tightly and soundly, in order to keep people from being injured

Wear gloves and use tools properly when opening a case

To avoid overturn, assistance is required to help keeping the cabinet balanced during the process of equipment fixation

without gloves keep the cabinet balanced

Personal Safety -Use of Tools

Use proper tools which are in normal condition, use tools correctly during the process of installation

Follow the operation instructions strictly when sharp and pointed tools, like electric drills, electric saws and cutting tools, are used in equipment installation process

Personnel working at a height should have corresponding certificates, should

be in good physical condition without suffering from acrophobia

No drinking before working at a height

Make sure the ladder( or other load bearing facility ) is rigid and stable when working at a height

Place operation tools and materials properly to avoid falling off

Carry out all the equipment and hardware installation operations with no

power supply switched on

If operations on the powered-on equipment are needed, except for the tools, there should be no exposed metal items on the operator’s clothes, and metal surface of the tools ( other than the working area ) should be insulated

Avoid the antenna from direct radiation to the human body in the front during operation on antenna feeder of the running base station equipment

Don’t look straight at a running optical port, so as to avoid damage to the eyes

Tools, instruments and materials borrowed from the client should be kept

properly and returned on time Do not use client’s property without permission

During installation, circuit boards and devices to be acquired for installation at other working sites or to be returned to Huawei for replacement due to faults can only be taken away from the client’s storage with permission of the client, and they should be returned to the client at the specified time

Tools, instruments and materials owned by Huawei should be checked and registered according to the client’s management rules when they are carried into or out of the working site

Hot-line operation is generally not permitted during the constructing process

In case of hot-line operation, pay attention to keep the tools and materials at a safe place and avoid contacting them with powered areas of the equipment, so

as to avoid short circuit accidents

Note: The following Hot-line operation is strictly prohibited.

Unpack and check the packing cases after the equipment and goods arrived

at site, make sure that the outer packing cases of the goods are free of damage, deformation or water soaking

Anti-shock and anti-tipping tags show that the shock degree and tipping

degree is within the limit If not, check and feedback according to ‘unpacking and check flow’

-Use of Tools

Tools are provided correctly, in good condition, and used properly, so as to avoid any damages to parts or equipment

Place tools properly when the operation position is higher than the equipment,

so as to avoid falling down of the tools, causing short circuit, components

damage and personal injury

stipulated in the engineering boundary division that the power supply (distribution ) equipment at the client’s side are operated by the client itself , it is not allowed to carry out the power-on operations on such

power supply (distribution ) equipment instead of the client

construction or equipment at the connecting points specified by the client (cutting-off current for air-break switches or fuses), and make sure it is larger than the maximum starting current used for the construction or

equipment

engineering interface division

It is not allowed to carry on power-on operations to power supply facilities substituting for users

-Fire Protection and Burglary Prevention(1)

Equipment installation, cable laying and spare parts and material piling up in the equipment room should meet the fireproof requirements of the equipment room, not block the fire passage and not affect ventilation and heat dissipation

of the equipment room

Before starting high temperature operations ( e.g electric welding, tin

soldering, and material heating ), you must clean up the operation area, and take the isolation and emergency remedial measures

Wear antistatic wrist straps and use other antistatic devices when operating the equipment boards and hard disks containing electronic devices

Check, sort and store materials and

tools properly after work every day
