Period 74: Skills 2: Listening + Writing

I.THE AIMS AND REQUESTS

1 Knowledge:

-Students listening for specific information including facts and fingers to know more about Stockholm and the Nobel Prize

- Students write a holiday postcard to their family or friends about the city they have visited using the 5Ws and 1 H and exclamation marks

3.Attitude: Sts enjoy beatiful famous places.

II.PREPARATION.

- T: Textbook, projecter, computer, máy chiếu vật thể

- St: Textbook, post cards

III PROCEDURES :

1.Organisation (1’):

Good morning./ How are you?/ Who’s absent today?

2.Warm up( 2’):

Let students listen to an English song then retell the names of contients, countries, cities and landmarks.( A small world)

Suggestions: New York, Paris, Eiffel Tower, Cambodia, Europe, London, Big

Ben, the Hudson river, Bogota, South America, Canberra, Australia, Africa, Asia, Phnom Penh ,Rome, Beijing, Moscow

- T introduces the new lesson.

3.The new lesson(39’):

- Teacher asks sts to watch a video clip and

answer the questions:

What can you see in video clip ?

- Teacher checks students' understanding

+ What do you have to do after watching the

clip?

- Teacher gets feedback

Suggestions: The Royal Palace, the Old

Town, islands, Nobel museum, restaurant,

shops, Nobel, Nobel Prize

- Teacher can talk about this in Vietnamese

-> Đây là ông Alfred Nobel Ông sinh ngày

21/10/1833 tại Stockholm- Thụy Điển Ông

là một nhà khoa học, nhà viết kịch, nhà sản

xuất vũ khí và nhà phát minh Phát minh nổi

bật nhất của ông là phát minh ra thuốc nổ.

Khi ông qua đời, ông đã dành 94% tài sản

của mình thành lập lên một quỹ giải thưởng

mang tên ông: Giải thưởng Nobel Giải

thưởng được trao cho các lĩnh vực: vật lí,

hóa học, sinh học, văn học, hòa bình và kinh

tế.

- Before listening to the recording, teacher

asks students to look at part 2 on p.33

2 Write a postcard to your family or

your friends.
