 Freight account: an invoice sent by the

shipping company to the exporter stating their charges

 Bill of lading (B/L): a receipt for goods

It is also a document of title, i.e it gives

If the words “To Order” are written in the

consignee box, it means that it is a

A shipped B/L means that the goods have

been loaded onto the ship

Bs/L are marked clean to indicate that the

consignment was taken on board in good

or claused to indicate that on inspection there

containers are used and are trans-shipped

from one mode of transport to another, e.g
