-T and Ss sing and clap hands

16 II-PRESENTATION:

*PRE-TEACHE VOCAB:

-use chopsticks

-ride a pony

-write the alphabet

-speak English

-do a magic trick

Checking: MATCHING

*INTRODUCING THE FIRST

PATTERN:

Puppet: Look at me I can do a magic trick

-T uses pictures to teach vocab

 Ss work in 2 groups

-T uses a puppet to model -Ss repeat (in choral) -Ss repeat (in groups) PERIOD 55-GRADE 5

-*PRACTICE: PICTURE DRILL

Example: Look at me I can do a magic trick

*INTRODUCING THE FIRST

PATTERN:

P.A: Look at her She can do a magic trick

P.B: Look at him He can do a magic trick

*PRACTICE:

S1: Look at her She can do a magic trick

S2: Look at him He can do a magic trick

-Ss repeat (individually)

-Ss look at the pictures and tell the sentences ( 1 – 6_P30)

-Ss work in choral, in groups, and individually

-T uses puppetS to model -Ss repeat (in choral) -Ss repeat (in groups) -Ss repeat (individually)

-T runs through all pictures with new pattern

-Ss repeat -Ss work in close pairs (change role) Open pairs (change role)

-T & Ss open books_P24 -T plays the tape

-Ss listen – point – repeat -T ask ss to read aloud -Ss read aloud individually -T asks ss to take out the pattern

-Ss work in pairs -S1 talk about them, S2 talk about their friends

6 IV-EXTENSION: BEANBAG CIRCLE

S1 (girl): Look at me I can sing a song

S2: look at her She can song a song

-T plays a song on the tape -Whole class works

-When teacher stops the tape, ss practice in pairs

-Learn vocab and the pattern
