I Aims: to help ss to practice listening skills: listening for generals and specific
information
II Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- listen for general ideas about types of energy
- listen to specific information about how important sources of energy are
- express their ideas about how they can protect their living place from pollution
- know how to work in pairs or in groups
III Teaching Aids and Materials: textbook, posters, handouts, cassette tapes.
IV Anticipated problems:
- Some students may not know how to pronounce some words in TAM SAO THAT BAN game
- Some students may not know what coal, oil, fossil fuels are
- Some students may find it difficult to listen and finish the tasks
V Methods: Whole class, individual work, pair work, group work.

Step 1: Divide students into 2 groups, name groups Step 2: Tell students they will play game TAM SAO THAT BAN and call

Step 3: Give instructions: I will give two students numbered 1 pieces of

Step 4: Check students’ understanding of instructions.
Step 5: Let students start the game.
Step 6: Check students’ answers and declare the winner.

- help students to be able to listen for specific information to know which types of sources of energy and how important they are
Activity 1: Table Completion
- Ask students to work in pairs, list all the resources they hear, decide which one is renewable or non- renewable and take notes the reasons on the box below:
