Pre-reading: (5 minutes)

- Asks students to work in pairs to look at picture and

answer the questions

2 Where do you think the event took place?

- Asks students to open the books and read the passage

Pre- speaking: (10 minutes)

- Divides the class into 2 groups: each group names of the

sport under each symbol The group gives more names

will be the winner

I Objectives:

1 Educational aim: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to describe a Sporting event (a football

match)

2 General knowledge: Students learn how to write describing a football match

3 Skills: Describing a sporting event (a football match)

II Method: Intergrated, mainly communicative

III Teaching aids: Student’s book, notebook

IV Procedure:

Pre-writing: (5 minutes)

Task 1:

- Says: “You are going to write a description of a football

- Listen to the teacher and work in pairs

neighbouring schools’ teams The following are the

questions you have to answer when describing the match,

but they are jumbled You should work with a partner and

put the questions in the suitable sections”

- Suggests students order the sentences with 3 parts:
