Stand rds Commit e As far as practica le, the requirements of the stand rd
hav e be n alg ned with the work of ISO/TC2 , Roa v ehicles,SC2 , Motor y cles,
and SC23, Mopeds, on l g ht al oy whe ls for mopeds and motor cy cles
The trend awa f om wire-spoked moped and motor cy cle whe ls to those
man factured f om lg ht aloy casting s or fa ricated f om combinations ofshe t
materials and/ or casting s has led to some u usual desig ns In some cases, spokes
hav e become few in n mber and not tang entialy inclned to the h b; larg e sp ns
of u sup orted rim hav e a peared;spokes hav e tended to become thin in relation
to lateral for es; also it is relativ ely easy for inex erienced manufacturer to
produce such whe ls For these reasons, this Section of the stand rd has be n
introduced to ensure that the qual ty is a equately control ed
Ty re, whe l, rim and v alv e requirements are g iv en in the folowing Parts and
