4.2 Circular pr es ure foot, with a smo th, flat surfac and a diamete of not les than 9 mm, ca a le

evenly sp c d ac os the usa le width of the fa ric ex clu ing 5 mm from the edg e of the fa ric, as
folows
Plac the fa ric on the anvi , ensuring that the fa ric is smo th, without any ac idental c eases or
wrin les an without any t ension If the e ar int entional c eases in the fa ric, no att empt shal be
made t o smo th them out befor making measur ment L we the pr s e fo t g ently on t o the fa ric
