Scholastic House was founded in 1903, inspired by Samuel Wells’ visionary idea from 1898 to promote friendship among people of different races and nationalities Originally accepting only male students, it became co-educational in 1963 The college's first students came from Asia, Europe, and the Americas, with nine of them going on to lead illustrious lives, though one tragically died en route from Sarawak after graduating with an honors degree in Law.
