The project, from Km 7+000 to Km 14+000, covers a part of NH91,

approximately 7km long, which starts at km 7+000 (Can Tho port) and ends at

km 14+000 (NH.91B intersection), Can Tho city.

Location: bridge include two new cells The with of each cell is 15m One of the

two new cells is placed beside old one Old cell is used for traffic maintaince and

removed when this new cell is completed After that, the remain cell is

contructed.

- Beam: Prestressed concrete beam 40 Mpa, I shape, beam height = 1,65m, distance between the beams are 2,2 m

- Abutment: U shape, reinforced concrete, 30 Mpa Using drilled pile foundation (6 piles 30 Mpa, diameter = 1200 mm, length = 65 m)

- Pier: pile pire, reinforced concrete, 30 Mpa Using drilled pile foundation (6 piles 30 Mpa, diameter = 1200 mm, length = 65m) for T1 and T4 piers Using drilled pile foundation (9 piles 30 Mpa, diameter = 1200 mm, length = 65m) for T2 and T3 piers

- Abutment: U shape, reinforced concrete, 30 Mpa Using drilled pile foundation (6 piles 30 Mpa, diameter = 1200 mm, length = 65 m)

- Bridge slab is heating continuous slab which made of 30 Mpa concrete Its thickness is 20 cm Using liquid waterproof for bridge slab.

- Pavement of bridge is 5 cm asphalt concrete (C20)

- Hand rail: edge of hand rail is made of concrete and its raimain is made of steel

- Bridge bearing is steel plastic bearing

- Expansion joint is made of steel

The Project, North – South Expressway (HCMC– Dau Giay Section), was originally configured as a section from the starting point of RR2 HCMC (KM4+000, that is the starting point of viaduct) to the ending point of Dau Giay (KM54+982) with a total length of about 51km expressway.

Due to demarcation of the component between East-West Highway project and the Project, the section between KM0+000 and KM4+000 plus the

While the ultimate authority for the efficient and effective operation of the Project lieswith the Project Manager, an effective Project Quality Assurance System is theproduct of all employees on the Project which are involved in the development,review and implementation of systems, processes, procedures and work practices,particularly those personnel who have the authority to:

2.7.6 Responsibility

All day-to-day management responsibilities are delegated to the designated personnelshown on the Project Site Organization Chart It is the ultimate responsibility at theProject to ensure the Project Quality System is fully implemented and effectivelycarried out to the quality standards of the Contract

a) Project Manager

- The Project Manager shall be responsible for the management of theProject as guided Target decision of the Bidder He has the authority andresponsibility for engineering, scheduling, cost, industrial relations andcontract administration of the Project

His responsibilities in respect of quality include:

- The overall administration and implementation of Project QA/QC Plans andensuring that all activities relating to quality are performed in compliance withthe requirements of specifications, codes and standards which from part ofContract

 He is the nominated quality representative for the Project He has theresponsibility and authority to ensure the implementation,maintenance and control of the Project Quality Assurance Plan andreports to the Manager, Quality Assurance / the Project Manager onthe performance of the Quality System for review and as a basis forimprovement of the Quality System He is also responsible forordering permanent material and controls their quality to becomplying with the project specification and client’s requirement allthe time

 The Project Quality Engineers are responsible for establishing,implementing and maintenance of documented procedures andinspection and test plans They shall ensure that inspection and

testing activities are controlled in order to verify that technical andspecified requirements are met.

 They report to the Project Quality Assurance Manager and interactswith other Managers and Engineers to review, implement andmanage the quality requirements and the quality plan

 They shall interface with project suppliers including sub-contractors

to ensure materials, products and equipments are inspected, testedmeasured and calibrated or otherwise verified to demonstrateconformance to specified requirements and the quality plan

 They shall maintain, compile and review applicable documents andquality records to ensure efficient retrieval and/or are available at alllocations where operations essential to the effective functioning of thequality system are performed

- Quantity Surveyor

 Quantity surveyor is responsible for the effective project controlactivities for the Project He report to the Project Manager/DeputyProject Manager No2 and responsible for the planning, costengineering, cost control planning and scheduling functions for theProject including:

To manage quantity survey;

ii)

To provide sub-contract documents

iii) Overall progress reports and other matters related to scheduling and cost

as required by Project Manager;

iv) Coordinates with Managers on scheduling and status of project forcompilation of information regarding main activity areas for monthlyreporting;

v) Controls fabrication and field construction schedules for overallprograms;

vi) Prepares reports on progress, manpower, cost and coordinates the workscheduling and procurement

- f)Construction Manager

 The Construction Manager of each construction section reports toProject Manager/Deputy Project Manager No1 He has theresponsibility and authority to :

Mmonitoring and measuring progress ;iii)

Eensuring that all works performed are in accordance with thecontract, and all works are recorded, filed and submitted if necessary

in accordance with the Project Quality Control Plan

h) Site Engineer

- He is responsible for assisting the Engineer’s duties and to control thesubcontractor or construction teams in respect of quality assurance asdirected by the Engineer

g) Electrical/Mechanical Engineer

- He is responsible for maintenance and arrangement of machineries, whichwill be used for the site works every day in order to carry out the worksefficiently and appropriately as directed by the Construction Manager

h) Material Engineer

-

- He is responsible for all the permanent material tests to be carried out atsite laboratory with laboratory staff and keeping those test record in the fileappropriately He shall identify whether the tested material is comply to thecontract

- In case any material fail the test, he shall report to construction managerand engineers then take appropriate action to non-conformanceproducts/potential non-conformity
