I Objectives

- Learn and remember some words and phrases related to the topic: HOBBIES
- Listen and understand main ideas of the dialogue about the topic
- Practice saying the dialogue in the text book

- Name some their own hobbies and talk about these hobbies in English

- Be interested in the topic
- Like to talk about hobbies in English

Student book TA 7, CD1, ppt file, pictures/ flash cards about HOBBIES.
III Procedure:
Activity 1: Set the scene.
Time: 15 minutes
Goal The activity aims at:
Arousing students’ interests in the topic: Hobbies
Activating students background knowledge about the topic
Input - Vocabulary:

- Ask them to look at the picture in their text books, p.8

- Ask students to discuss the answers to the questions
- Elicit the answers from some groups.
- Show the answers on the screen.

Goal Pupils will be able to listen and find out Ann’s hobby and Trang’s hobby
Input The text is about Ann’s hobby and Trang’s hobby Trang’s hobby is amazing and
creative Ann’s hobby is rather unusal But it is more common than Trang thinks Because there are some horse riding Clubs in Ha Noi
Outcome Pupils can listen and recognise their hobbies and opinions about those hobbies
