UNIT 8: FILMS Lesson 7: LOOKING BACK & PROJECT

I OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the lesson students will be able to:

- Help Ss consolidate and apply what they have learnt in the unit 8 Ss can evaluate their performance and provide further practice

- Do some practice exercises

- Project helps Ss improve their abilities to work individually and in a team It extends their imagination in field related to the unit topic

1 Knowledge

- Review the vocabulary and grammar of Unit 8

- Apply what they have learnt (vocabulary and grammar) into practice through a project

2 Competence

- Develop communication skills and creativity

- Develop presentation skill

- Develop critical thinking skill

- Be collaborative and supportive in pair work and team work

- Actively join in class activities

3 Quality/ behavior :

- Have positive attitude in English language learning so that they actively participate in all classroom activities

- Be more creative when doing the project

- Develop self-study skills

III PROCEDURE:

1 Warm up (5’)

*Aim: To warm up the class

*Content: game: Brainstorming (about the films)

* Products: Ss write the names of the film that you see

divides the class into 2 teams

and write as many types of films as

possible in 2 minutes

2 LOOKING BACK (25’)

* Aim: Help students know the meaning and descriptions of words.

* Content: Vocabulary about the film

1 Choose one of your favourite films and design a poster for it, including: – name of the film

– type of film – its director and main actors / actresses

– a short summary – your overall opinion about the film – the showtime and cinema

– pictures or photos to illustrate the film

- Ss should prepare the project as assign groups in the previous lessons beforehand

- Listen to the teacher’s instructions carefully
