I OBJECTIVES:

1 Knowledge: By the end of the lesson:

- Ss will use though/although to express contrast between two prices of

information in the same sentence

- Use however and nevertheless to express contrast between two sentences.

1 Knowledge:

* Vocab: use the lexical items related to the topic "Films"

* Grammar: the use of “ though/ although, however “

2 Competences:

- Know how use However, nevertheless to express contrast between two

sentences/clauses

- Communication, self-learning capability, creative capacity, ability to use of

language……

3 Qualities:

Sts must have good attitude while working together.

II TEACHING AIDS

1 Teacher: Text books, pictures, planning, …

- Grade 7 textbook, Unit 8, A closer look 2

III PROCEDURES:

1.Warm-up (5’)

* Aim: Revise the adjectives to describe films.

* Content: Game Calling friends' names

* Products: Ss call the adjs exactly on the board.

I Warm up Calling friends' names

- Organize the game to ask ss call aloud the

adjectives to describe films

- Introduce the new lesson

- Take part in the game

- Possible answers: boring, hilarious, violent, scary, gripping

2 Presentation (10’)

* Aim: -Enrich students’ vocabulary to talk about the films

-Elicit use though/although/however, nevertheless to express contrast between two sentences/clauses.

* Content: Vocabulary , grammar.

* Products: Read and understand the meaning of words, know how to use though/although/however,

nevertheless

-Ask ss to study the ex in the

Grammar Box

- Introduce the form and watch out

- Main clause, adverb clause of concession.

- Contrast

- After although/though+ a clause

-Model sentence Although he is so young, he performs excellently -Usage:

-We use Although/though to express contrast between two

pieces of information in the same sentences

- Form : Though/Although + S+ V, S+V

-Usage: We use However, nevertheless to express contrast

between two sentences

-Form:

However,/Nevertheless, + a sentence

3 Practice (25’)

* Aims:

- practice the use of Although/though/ however /nevertheless

* Content:

- Listen and repeat the words.

- Match the following adjectives with their meanings.

- Complete the following sentences, using the adjectives in 1

- Pronunciation

* Products:

Students read vocabularies exactly aloud

Students pronounce /iə/ and /eə/ exactly.
