Lab 1 Connect Terminal Server (1 hour)

1 Setup routers as shown in the diagram below:

2 Using a CS-500 or 2509-2511 connect an asynchronous serial port to the console port on each router Configure a ip host list for a reverse telnet session into each router

Lab 2 IP (6 hours)

Configure the network using network 172.16.x.x

Use an 8 bit subnet mask unless otherwise specified

At the end of each exercise, verify connectivity between all ports:

• All ip routes appearing in all routers

• Ping from any interface to any other interface

Lab 2a

1 Connect R1, R2, and R3 over Frame Relay/X.25 (choose) Configure R3 using subinterfaces Configure R1 without using subinterfaces and using map commands Configure R2 without using subinterfaces or map commands

2 Configure OSPF with the cloud in area 0 Configure R4, R5, and R3-R4 serial to be in area 1

3 Configure two loopbacks on R1 using subnets that will contain at most 14 hosts ip addresses Configure two loopbacks on R2 using subnets that will contain at most 62 hosts Summarize the two loopback interfaces on R1 and R2 such that R3 only sees one route from each

Trang 2

Lab 2b

1 Remove OSPF configurations from R4, R5 and the serial connection between R3 and R4 Configure EIGRP on R4, R5 and on the serial connection between R3 and R4 Redistribute OSPF and EIGRP on R3

2 Repeat step 1 using IGRP instead of EIGRP

Lab 2c

1 Remove IGRP from R3 and the serial link between R3 and R4 Create a BGP autonomous network between these routers Redistribute and aggregate all routes

Lab 2d

1 Filter such that only R5 can ping the loopbacks on R2 but not the ethernet The route for the ethernet should still be visible

2 Filter on R4 such that R1, R2, and R3 only see the routes from the token-ring interface on R5

Lab 2e

1 Remove filters from R4

2 Configure R4 such that it advertises a default network to R5 R5 should be able to ping all interfaces

Lab III Appletalk (1 hour)

At the end of each exercise, verify connectivity between all ports:

• All Apple routes/zones appearing in all routers

• Apple ping from any interface to any other interface

Lab 3a

1 Configure all ports (except loopbacks) for appletalk Define a zone on each interface Define the interface on R5 as Appletalk phase I

2 Configure EIGRP for R3, R4, and R5

3 Configure RTMP/ZIP for the NBMA network

Lab 3b

1 Filter on R4 such that R5 only sees routes and zones from R1

Lab 3c

1 Remove Appletalk from the serial network between R3 and R4 All zones and routes should still

be seen by all routers running Appletalk

Lab IV DECnet (30 minutes)

At the end of each exercise, verify connectivity between all ports

• Appropriate DEC areas/nodes appearing in all routes

• DEC ping from any router to any other router

Lab 4a

1 Enable DECnet routing on all routers Configure R4 and R5 in a separate DECnet area from the rest of the routers

Trang 3

Lab V IPX (1 hour)

At the end of each exercise, verify connectivity between all ports

• Appropriate IPX routes/SAP’s appearing in all routers

• IPX ping from any interface to any other interface

Lab 5a

1 Configure all ports (including loopbacks) for IPX

2 ConfigureRIP/SAP on R4, R5, and the serial network between R3 and R4

3 Configure only EIGRP on R1, R2, and R3’s NBMA network interface

4 Redistribute on R3

Lab 5b

1 Configure two static SAPs on R5 Filter on R4 such that R1, R2, and R3 see only one of theSAPs

2 Disable IPX across the NBMA network All routes should still be seen by all routers running

IPX

3 Change the frequency of RIP updates across the serial connection between R4 and R5 to once every 2 minutes

Lab VI Dial-on-demand rounting (2 hours)

At the end of each exercise, verify connectivity between all ports:

• Ping all interfaces using applicable protocols

Lab 6a

1 Configure either ISDN or an asynchronous connection between R3 and R4

2 Disconnect the serial link between R3 and R4

3 Configure dial-on-demand routing for IP and IPX between R3 and R4 No broadcast packets

should initiate the dialing

Lab VII DLSW (1 hour)

Lab 8a

1 Configure DLSW between Ring1 and Ring 2

2 Add R3’s ethernet into the DLSW network Make sure there is connectivity between all lan interfaces

Lab 8b

1 Configure a filter that blocks Netbios packets with destination name “SERVER” from leaving

Ring 1

2 Set up a filter that would permit only SNA traffic between the token-rings

Trang 4

Lab VIII HSRP (1 hours)

1 Connect 3 routers to an ethernet as shown below

2 Define IP addresses on all interfaces Configure a loopback interface on R3 and give it an IP address

3 Setup any type of connections and any type of IP routing between R1, R2 and R3

4 Disable IP routiing on the router named Host and configure it as an IP host

5 Configure HSRP between R1 and R2

6 You should be able to disconnect the ethernet on either R1 or R2 and still be able to ping the loopback on R3 from Host

Host
