2 Running the application
For PC
Ensure that no other applications are running
Insert the ProFile 1 CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive
If Autorun is enabled on your computer, the CD-ROM will start after a few seconds
If you do not have an Autorun facility, follow the instructions below:
- From your Windows® desktop, choose Start and then Run
- Type D:\ProFile1.exe (where D is the letter of your CD-ROM drive)
- Click the OK button
- The application should now start
For Mac ®
Ensure that no other applications are running
Insert the ProFile 1 CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive
Double click the CD icon when it appears on the desktop, then click ProFile1
The application should now start
3 Known issues
a CarbonLib error message on Mac ® OS 9.x
CarbonLib is a Mac® Extension that allows software to be run on both Mac® OS X and the Mac® OS 9.x operating systems Macromedia Flash MX requires CarbonLib 1.5 or later to run on Mac® OS 9.x (the CarbonLib functionality is built into Mac® OS X, so nothing additional is required for that operating system)

CarbonLib can also be upgraded with Apple's Software Update service With Mac® OS X, use System Preferences > System > Software Update; and for Mac® OS 9.x, use the Control Panel > Software Update

A dynamic-link library (DLL) file is an executable file that allows programs to share code and other resources necessary to perform particular tasks Microsoft Windows® provides DLL files that contain functions and resources that allow Windows®-based programs to operate in the Windows®
environment
On a typical installation of Windows® 98, 98SE and ME, DLL files are usually located in the C:\
WINDOWS or C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM folders In Windows® based on NT technology DLL files can
usually be found in C:\WINNT or C:\PROGRAM FILES folders.
DLL files would be available either free or at some cost at Internet sites like www.dll-downloads.com or
www.dll-files.com
c Audio stuttering
This might be because of insufficient memory Please check if your machine specifications meet the minimum specifications to run the program If your machine meets all the minimum specifications, then check that all other applications are closed and you are only running the ProFile 1 CD-ROM
4 Technical support
If you experience any problems with the ProFile 1 CD-ROM, please check that your machine matches
or exceeds the minimum system requirements in Point 1 above and that you are following the steps outlined in Point 2 above
