1 Introductions

This method statement relates to the installation work for handrail glass

The project site is located in District 2, HCMC of Vietnam

We realize that labor safety, construction quality is an important task placed on the top of all construction work, along with the progress and hygiene work to ensure civilization of construction is also paid attention

All necessary specifications, inspection and quality control will be complied with the

contract documents, specification If there is any discrepancy in the descriptions below, it will be designated by consultant/Client

2 Construction materials

The main scope of works are for Glass Handrail installation

All stainless steel products, glass and accessories are produced by large and reputable factories, with modern technology lines that produce high quality products in China such as: Taizhou Century Deli Metal Products Co , Ltd ; Ya Xin Science & Technology Co., Ltd Imported by SanLe Door Co., Ltd

3 Construction tools and materials

4 Principle of Work Procedure

4.1 Coordination at the Site

- Before starting the installation, it is necessary to prepare the site organization,

delegating workers, and the required tools and utilities

- Communicating with Main contractor about site office preparation and permission

for transporting overweighted equipments

- Find out the equipments and utilities that will be provided by the Main contractor

(CSCEC 3) at the site, such as hoist, tower crane, electricity, water, and etc

- Survey and understand the current progress of the main structure and the site

regulations on safety, cleaning, fire prevention, and etc

- Make entry identification card for all technical officers, supervisors and workers working at site

- Communicating with the Main Contractor to find out the storage area at the site, and

the storage size and condition for future inventory management at site

- Find out the transporting area at the site for product delivery, as well as the

preferred delivery time

4.2 Site Work Execution

a) Site measurements and marking

Since the actual site dimensions might be different from the approved shop drawings, SanLe will perform the site measurement on each item In case of any discrepancy, we shall coordinate with the Employer/Client and the Main Contractor (CSCEC3) to come out with a reasonable solution and must inform to Architect for approval After confirmed with the Main Contractor (CSCEC3) and architect for the actual measurements on site, these figures will form the basis of the production dimensions

Equipment : Rolling Ruler – 5m in length, Leveling ruler

Preparation : All technical documents of dimensions, measurements, and coordinates on site

b) Scaffold Usage:

Understand the safety requirements of the site scaffold, such as maximum load, allowed work, conditions, and etc Confirm with the Main Contractor (CSCEC3) with the dates that the scaffold will be installed and taken down Negotiate with the Main Contractor (CSCEC3) to finish all the scope of work that requires scaffolding before it is taken down

4 3 Installation progress

a) Before material delivery to Site

After being fabricated at the factory, the Stainless steel products will be transferred to the Q/A department for quality control in areas such as finished dimension against the drawing, workmanship, surface, damage, and etc After that, they will be wrapped with PVC tapes which will prevent surface scratch and minor damage and packed into wooden bales

b) Stainless Steel and Glass Installation:

Stainless Steel and Glass products and components will first be transferred to the

designated areas through site

equipments such as tower crane, hoist, winch, and etc Installation process will be from floors

to floors, depending on the schedule of the Main Contractor, Stainless Steel and Glass Installation With the proper finish of its surrounding structure and the area handed over

c) Q/A of the Stainless Steel and Glass

To set up plan and prepare documents for checking the installation of frames After finishing the installation of the frame, quality control department will check the technical requirements Any error will be fixed or replaced on the timely basis

5 Method Statement.

a Installation Stainless Steel column (50x17; 60x17; 70x17mm)

- Measuring, locate the foot positions of stainless steel cylinders

- Use Laser to check the level, the exact position of the stainless steel base leg to be installed, marking the specific position for each stainless steel column

- Chisel work is carried out with low strength mortar and with level of column as Shopdrawing at previously marked locations

- Treat the surface of the chiseled with compound Sika Ground

- Identify, mark and drill bolt holes Proceeding to place Stainless steel column

at the exact location, installing bolts

- Check the vertical and horizontal accuracy of stainless steel column with laser and ruler

Setting to follow CL's standard (sent via RSP's email 27 Aug 2019

- Initialization of waterproofing layer at the foot of stainless steel column

b Installation Handrails Stainless Steel (30x50x1.2mm)

- Determine the position of two head of handrails on the wall Identify brick walls or concrete walls

Wrong waterproofing process.That is not guaranteed so All risks will be borne by the contractor

- Check that brick or concrete walls If it is a brick wall need to be chiseled and reprocess it with Sika Ground compound

- Accurately locate, drill bolt holes, install linked bass, and install stainless steel handrails

- Welding stainless steel handrails into bass links, stainless steel column installed earlier

- Check the accuracy of level and installation location The quality of welding lines should be ensured

c Installation laminated tempered glass (6+0.76+6mm)

- The glass is transported to the location by specialized vehicle

- Use glass pump to install the glass, Screw the screw to a moderate force to avoid the glass tank

6 Quality control at the site

Ensure that the construction materials are in accordance with the design and structure of the

stainless steel to ensure the architectural design and the sample board has been approved by the parties Some references:

• The products inspection follow standards at specification of owner

• Shop drawing approved by client/consultant

• Check the quality follow specification of project

7 Test plan and checklist for inspection.

- Check general quality of materials/ Kiểm tra chất lượng vật tư tổng thể
