1 Warm up (5’)

- Ss read and speak the topics which they prepared

2 Knowledge formation activities (36’)

- T calls each student to choose one topic

- Each student chooses one and has two

minutes to prepare and speak

- T asks 4 questions

Topic 1: New school

1 What is your name?

2 Do you like your school?

3 Do you help your teacher in your class?

4 How do you get to school everyday?

Topic 2: Home

1 What is your name?

2 Is your house big?

3 Is there a living room in your house?

4 How many rooms are there in your house?

Topic 3: Friends

1 What is your name?

2 Do you have many friends?

3 How many friends do you have?

4 What is your close friend name?

Topic 4: Neighbourhood

1 What is your name?

2 Do you live in the countryside?

3 Is your neighbourhood beautiful?

4 What shall you do this afternoon?

Topic 5: Natural Wonder of the World

1 What is your name?

2 Is Ha Long Bay a Natural Wonder of the World?

3 Do you visit Ha Long Bay?

I Objectives

a Knowledge: - Exam students’ knowledge from unit 1 to 6 and find the mistakes in the test and how to

do the test

- Vocabulary: - Words related to the topics from unit 1 to 6.

- Grammar: - The grammar which they studied.

b Skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

c Attitude: hard, concentrated and active.

2 Capacity is formed and developed for students

- Self – learning capability

- Communicative competence

II Preparation

1 Teacher: text book, extra board, cassette tape and real objects.

2 Students: textbook, notebook, workbook.

III Students’ activities

1 Warm up (5’)

- T talks about each part in the test

There are 4 parts in the test: listening, language focus, reading and writing

* Say the name of students who did their tests very well

UNIT 7: TELEVISION Lesson 1: Getting started – What’s on today?

I Objectives

1 Knowledge, Skills, Attitude:

a Knowledge: By the end of this Unit, students can use some vocabularies and structures to talk about

some famous children’s program.

- Vocabulary: the items related to television.

- Grammar: The present simple tense.

b Skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

c Attitude: hard, concentrated and active.

- Self – learning capability

- Communicative competence

II Preparation

1 Teacher: text book, extra board, cassette tape and real objects.

2 Students: textbook, notebook, workbook.

III Students’ activities

1 Warm up (5’)

Ask Ss to look at the picture and answer some

questions about the picture - Who are they? What are they doing? Can you guess what they are talking about? ( Introduce) Are

they talking about their famous TV programs?

2 Knowledge formation activities (36’)

- Write the title on the board and explain the

meaning of “what’s on” and ask Ss to guess what

the picture might show or what the conversation

might be about

- Ask Ss to share any recent experiences of their

watching TV

- More explains new words and structures in listen

and read
