• Example:

• Form:Present participle: V-ing

Past participle: V-ed

• Usage: V-ing: - having active meaning

- the subject causing the action

- describe the nature of people/things V-ed: - having passive meaning

- the subject affected by another objects

- express people’s attitude or feelings

Situation:

A boy is watching a film which is about a ghost’s life

- The ghost in the film makes the boy horrified

-The ghost is really horrifying

for him to watch
