A.Objectives:

1 Aim:

By the end of the lesson students will be able to:

- describe someone and complete the dialogue by listening.

- speak to describe someone

- Vocabulary: blond, slim, straight, curly, bold, fair.

- Grammar: Verb: (to) have / has

2 Skills:

- speaking, listening.

3 Attitude:

-Educate students to be courteous with people

4.Oriented competence.

- communicative competence

- cooperative competence

- self- learning and self- management competence

B Preparation :

-Teacher: lesson plan, textbook, picture,casste, tape

- Students : textbook, notebook, learn the old leson, prepare new lesson

C Procedures:

I.Warm up:Brainstorming

- Aim: T uses the questions to lead to

the new lesson

* Methods/techniques :

+ straight (adj) : thẳng ( translation) + curly (adj) : quăn, xoăn ( antonym) + dark (adj) = black: tối,đen ( syn) + blond/ fair (adj) : vàng hoe, vàng nhạt = yellow (syn)

II/ Pre- speaking:

* Model Sentences

III/ While- Speaking

1) Word Cues on six cards

a He / tall/ thin long / black

b She / short / slim curly/ blond

- Call on a student to describe one

person and the other have to guess who

he / she is

- Go on until six people on the poster

are described

- Get Ss to describe some teachers or

friends

- Teacher asks students to describe and

guess about famous people

-Teacher gives some questions:

- T asks Ss to do exercise “listen a, b, c,

d” on page 12, 13

Ex: T: This person is short and thin She has long blond hair

St: Is this Mary?

T : Yes

III Post- speaking:

T:She is a singer in Vietnam.She is very fat

with not very long hair.Her face is round.Her voice is very high

S: Is that Siu Black?

T: Yes

T: He is a soccer player.He is handsome.He lives in Dong Anh, Ha Noi.He wears shirt number 19

S:Is that Quang Hai?

T: Yes

IV Pre- listening:

T: How do people greet one another?

S:-How are you?

-How do you do?

-Hello -Nice to meet you

- It’s a pleasure to meet you

T:How do we introduce people?

S:

-I’d like youto meet………

-Come and meet……

T: How do we respond to the introduction? S:Nice to meet you/ The pleasure is all mine

V While - listening:

make sure they know their meanings

-Sts listen to the tape then complete

the dialogues

- T gives feedback

-Let students listen to the tape twice

-Get students to work in pairs to

complete the dialogues

- T calls Ss to play the roles of 4

dialogues (opened pairs)

- T corrects their pronunciation

- Ss work in pairs to practice the

dialogues (closed pairs)
