-Chữ “S” phát âm là /s/ khi danh từ có các
âm tận cùng là /p, f, k, t, th/
EX: books, streets
- Chữ “ES” phát âm là /iz/ khi các dtừ tận
cùng là /ch, -ss, x, s(ce) ,sh ,ge/
EX: couches, kisses, bridges
- Các trường hợp còn lại phát âm là /z/
