I Aims and objectives :

* Language content :

-To introduce some new words relating to describing activities.

- To enable the sts to use the present progressive tense

*Language function :

-To encourage the students to ask and answer what is happening at the moment of

speaking

*Educational aim :

- To make the sts aware of the importance of means

1. Language :

a Vocabulary: -businessman(n); station (n); town down(n); angry(adj.)

b Structures: - Where is she going? She is going to school

- How is she traveling? She is traveling by bike

2 Skills : Speaking – Listening - Reading - Writing

3 Educational factor :

II Teacher’s and students’ preparation :

1 Method : Communicative Approach

2 Techniques: - Explanation, Repetition, game, using picture, pair work

3 Materials needed: -Picture, cassette player, flashcards

4 Students' preparation: - Prepare the lesson well before coming to class

III PROCEDURES IN CLASS :

a Warm up: - Greeting

b Checking absence: Asks the monitor about the absence

2 Checking up previous knowledge : 5ms

* Questions: 1) Write all of the words about means of transport.

2) What are you doing?

* Keys to questions: 1) plane, bus, car, bike, train, motorbike

2) I walk to school.

Asks the sts to describe the content

of the pictures in the part A4

Tells the aim of the lesson to the sts.

II/ Pre- Practice:

1 Teaches new words:

- Town down (n) (explanation)

- Station(n) : (explanation)

- Angry (adj.) : (explanation)

2 Checks understanding of the

new words: Slap the board.

3- Explains the exercise which the

sts have to do

III/ Controlled- Practice :

*A4: -Asks the sts to listen to the

tape 2 times and number in the

pictures as their hear

- Asks them to do individually,

then share with their partner

- Has the sts listen third time to

check the results

- Calls some sts to say their

answers

- Corrects their mistakes

- Describe them

- Guess the meanings of the words
