3 Too, so, either, neither:

Cách dùng các trạng từ: Too, so, either, neither

1-TOO và EITHER: “cũng vậy”: đợc đặt ở cuối câu

a)TOO: đợc dùng ở cuối câu khẳng định.

Eg Lan is a student Her brother is a student, too

*Loan can cook Huy can cook, too

* S1: I like beef S2: I do, too/She does, too

So do I/ So does she

-Hoặc ta có thể rút gọn:

* Lan is a student Her brother is, too

*Loan can cook Huy can, too

b)EITHER: đợc dùng ở cuối câu phủ định.

Eg Lan isn’st a student Her brother isn’st a student, either

*Loan can’st cook Huy can’st cook, either.-Hoặc ta có thể rút gọn:

* Lan isn’st a student Her brother isn’st, either

*Loan can’st cook Huy can’st, either

2-SO và NEITHER: “cũng vậy”

a)SO: đợc dùng ở cuối câu khẳng định nhng

có sự đảo ngợc chủ ngữ và trợ động từ trong câu

SO + TĐT(auxiliary verb) + Subject.

Eg1 Lan is a student Her brother is a student,too

= Lan is a student So is her brother

b)NEITHER: đợc dùng ở câu phủ định nhng

có sự đảo ngợc chủ ngữ và trợ động từ trong câu

NEITHER + TĐT(auxiliary verb) + Subject.

Eg1 Lan isn’st a student Her brother isn’st a student, either = Lan isn’st a student Neither

is her brother

2-Grammar:

a) Cách hỏi về hình thái bên ngoài hay diện mạo của ai đó và trả lời:

(+) S + to be + adj (chỉ hình dáng hay diện mạo).

*eg

Lan: What does your

mother look like?

Hoa: She is tall and thin.

b) Cánh dùng Enough “ ”

(đủ):

b1)Nếu Enough: là một tính từ thì nó sẽ thờng đứng trớc 1 danh từ:

Eg I have enough money

to buy this book

b2) Nếu Enough là một trạng từ, thì thờng đứng sau một trạng từ hay một tính từkhác

+) S + to be + (not) + adj + enough (for somebody) +

to +V_infinitive.

* This coffe is warm enough (for you) to drink
