Bài 7: Dùng cụm từ "TOO TO" hoặc ("NOT" ENOUGH TO") kết hợp hai câu sau thành một:

2 You are quite clever You understand it perfectly
3 He came very late The lesson was over
4 That man is quite stupid He believes me
5 That hat is very small This boy is big
Bài 8: Đổi các câu sau sang câu tường thuật:
1 "Let's go on a diet," said Ann
2 "Would you please fill in this form?" said the clerk
3 He said, "You needn't come tomorrow."
4 "You mustn't come without knocking," he told me
5 He said, "If I were you, I would apply for that job."
Bài 9: Câu kết hợp:
1 Dùng mệnh đề danh từ thích hợp:
a Where have you put my hat? Tell me that
b We want to know We are going somewhere
c. He will arrive sometime I do not know the time of his arrival
d He will waste his time That is certain
e Columbus made an egg stand on its end I will tell you this method
2 Dùng mệnh đề liên hệ thích hợp:
a. The French and the Italian languages are different forms of the Latin language This language was once spoken in almost every part of Europe
b You are not keeping good health lately Can you tell me the reason?
c The time was six o'clock The accident happened then
d He has many plans for earning money quickly All of them have failed
e The grapes hung over the garden wall The fox saw the grapes
Bài 10: Dùng mạo từ "THE" thêm vào trước tính từ trong ngoặc nếu cần thiết để cho câu hoàn chỉnh Biến đổi từ trong ngoặc ở dạng đuôi "-ING" hoặc "-ED" cho phù hợp:
