This guide is based on the JAN 701B/901B ECDIS Version 56
Trang 2To install S-63 1.1 Data the latest IHO certificate will need to be installed in your ECDIS The
IHO.CRT is located on any AVCS S-63 1.1 Media To install it please insert the S-63 1.1
Media into your ECDIS and follow the steps below:
1 Exit Navigation & Planning mode and select “ChartPortfolio”
2 Select “OK”

4 Select the “S-63” Tab
5 Select “Import of Certificate”

8 Select “IHO.CRT” and double click on it to populate the File Name box
9 Select “OK”

11 Select ”OK” (noting the number assigned)

The IHO.CRT has now been saved in the system However, before S-63 1.1 data can
be loaded it must be selected in the system

13 Select “2:IHO.CRT” from the dropdown (as noted earlier)
14 Select “OK” (N.B It is NOT possible to delete the 0:IHO.CRT from this system)

be now be loaded into the ECDIS

If for any reason the migration to S-63 1.1 fails then the PRIMAR.CRT file will need to be
re-installed The JRC remembers previously installed certificates and therefore you should be
able to simply select the PRIMAR.CRT
1 To do this select “Tool” from the Chart Portfolio screen
2 Select “Option”
3 Click “Select of Certificate”
4 Select the PRIMAR.CRT from the dropdown and select “OK”
Your system will now be in the same state as before attempting the upgrade and you can
continue to use AVCS S-63 1.0 data However, you should inform your Admiralty Chart
Agent of the problems that you have encountered
