Anemia: Iron deficient, of chronic disease
and folic acid deficiency – Fatigue, SOB,
decreased exercise tolerance
Pernicious anemia: Abdominal distress,
nausea, vomiting, burning of tongue
Sickle cell anemia: pallor, SOB, fatigue,
painful sickle cell crisis
Thalassemia (defective hemoglobin):
Pallor, fatigue, SOB
Trang 5 Polycythemia vera: Dizziness, headaches,
and visual disturbances (treat with chemo,
leeches)
Hemophelia A: Bleeding, genetic
Von Willebrand’s disease: Genetic, platelet
adhesion causes bleeding
Neutropenia: Infection, fever, skin
inflammation
