on the Internet And you also know it is the most dangerous Unless you are very

careful, sending out bulk mail will result in everything from an in-box full of very

offensive "flames" to having your internet connection closed

You must be aware that Anti-spammers are everywhere, looking for the slightest excuse

to hurt you You must take every precaution to avoid them and hide your identity from

the odd one you are bound to stumble over You must never use a web-site URL in any

So then, if you are going to email in safety, you will need a continuous source of "safe" email lists And the lists you'll "harvest" from the Business Opportunity sections of the Classified sites are about as safe as you will ever find These people are entrepreneurs who understand the importance of advertising, and are generally very tolerant of

reasonable commercial email They are also in need of help, and most will actually welcome your email offer of free help and tutorials

And now, knowing that classified advertisers and safe, receptive, prospects for your advertising messages, let's move on to the methods we will use to "harvest" the

addresses and create usable lists for bulk mailing Your ultimate success will depend on your ability to collect as many URLs as you can, so it is very important to find as many classified sites as you can I'll get you started with a fairly substantial list of sites, but there are a great many new ones starting up each month, and it will be an easy task for you to find them

In this tutorial, I am going to walk you, hand in hand through the complete

process of generating the new partners you need to make you Rich! Here is what

we are going to do (But don't try to do it now This is just a preview) You will:

1 create the following directories and files on your hard-drive I know it looks

difficult, but it's not I'll guide you every little step of the way, later

The first thing we are going to do is learn how to harvest email addresses from the classified sites, but before we do that, I'd like you to take a look at the software you will be using to build and manage your email lists, and to deliver your message to them

ListManager Loads the lists you got with the Targeted E-Mail Extractor into your List

Management program, to remove duplicates, unwanted domains, and addresses of people you definitely don't want to send your offer to (anti-spammers and flamers in particular)

Worldcast Bulk Mailer No matter how careful you are, there is always the chance of

your email offending someone You always risk losing your ISP For that reason, it is very cheap insurance to have a second ISP (Internet Service Provider) you can use if you get "taken down" by an anti-spammer

Before downloading your new software, you must make a "QuickStart" directory with a Subdirectory called "Software", where you will put the compressed files you are going to download

1 Open your "C" drive window and right-click on an empty space in the list of files and directories

2 From the pop-up menu, select "new", then "folder"

3 A new folder will appear in the C-drive, with the name "New Folder" highlighted in blue

4 Rename the folder "QuickStart" and you have successfully created your new directory

5 Double click on the new "QuickStart" folder, then right-click on an empty spot in the opened folder and create a new folder, using the procedure outlined in 2, 3, and 4, above

6 Rename the "New Folder" to "Software" This is the folder into which you will download all of the software files associated with this guide-book

Note: most Web Browsers can easily download three files at the same time, so when you get one started, It isn't necessary to wait until the download is finished, before starting the next

Before you do the downloads, though, it is a very good idea to run a virus Check on your system Then, when you have finished downloading, check the

files to make sure their sizes are as follows:

If the files are smaller than they should be, the file has been truncated or

• Download MailFinder and the registration patch

The download is very simple Just click on each of the links, in turn, and save the programs to your hard-drive

When you click on a link, a pop-up window will appear Click the down arrow in the "Save in:" box, then locate your new "Software" directory When you get that directory name in the box, make sure the proper file name is in the box

(MailFinder.exe or Register.zip) is in the "file Name:" box, then click Save

Once installed, the Targeted E-Mail Finder goes to all of the classified ad sites you load into it, and makes a list of the email addresses of everyone who has advertised there

• Download ListManager

As with the targeted E-Mail Finder program, when the pop-up window appears, click the down arrow in the "Save in:" box and find your new "Software" directory When you get that directory name in the box, make sure that lstmngr.exe is in the

"file Name:" box, and click Save

Just use the procedures outlined above and you should have no trouble

Preparing the software for use

The next part of the process is very easy

1 You have already learned to create sub-directories so you won't have any trouble making a new directory on your "C" drive called "Prospecting" or some other appropriate name that will be able to remember easily (Right click on a blank area of your hard drive window and select "new", then "folder" and rename it

"Prospecting")

2. Installing MailFinder

Before you do anything with this program, please understand that you must make Sure the files Sonic.exe and either register.exe or SDKILL.EXE (depending on what version of MailFinder you you have) end up in the same directory and that

you run register.exe or SDKILL.EXE before you open Sonic

Now, go to the "Software" sub-directory and click on the MailFinder icon click

"setup" on the pop-up screen, then "continue", and "continue" and the program will install itself Press "OK" and the program is installed Now go to your "C" drive and find the SONIC folder Rename it "MailFinder" then highlight the folder and press Ctrl C Open the C:\quickstart\Prospecting directory and press Ctrl V to

copy the folder there You will now have a new directory:

c:\quickstart\Prospecting\MailFinder with the Sonic.exe file in it

Do not open MailFinder yet Click on the "register.zip" file in the software

directory and extract it (you must have Winzip installed on your computer for

this FREE at Winzip.com) into the c:\quickstart\Prospecting\MailFinder

Directory Once the extraction is finished- about 1 second - you'll see a new file called either SDKILL.EXE or register.exe in the MailFinder directory Click on it and it will create a registration patch for the MailFinder (Sonic) program Your screen will flicker briefly then stabilize A blank DOS screen may or may not appear,depending on your computer If it does, just close it Your MailFinder program is now activated, ready for use

If, after you try to run Sonic, you find youself having trouble with the registration process, download a fresh copy of Register.zip from

to the MailFinder directory then extract it to the same directory Check to ensure that you have the following files in the MailFinder Directory:

• PC

• SDC

• SDKILL

• SONIC.EXE

• SONIC.HLP

• WARNING.TXT

• FILE_ID.DIZ

Now click on SDKILL and a black DOS screen will appear momentarily then disappear

Congratulations! You are now ready to run Sonic

There's just one final thing before we move on to installing ListManager Let's make a short-cut for Mail Finder on your Desktop This is done by opening up the

MailFinder folder in the Prospecting directory Find the file SONIC icon and right

click on it Hold the mouse button down and drag to a convenient spot on your desktop Release the mouse button and click "make Shortcut" That's it!

When you are finished installing ListManager and Worldcast, do the same thing for them and group all three short-cut icons in the same area of your screen for convenience

3. Installing ListManager

Go back to the "Software" sub-directory and double-click on lstmngr.exe Click

Ok and the install program starts Click "next", "yes", and "next", then enter your name and company name in the "user information" screen

Now, click next and "browse" Enter C:\QuickStart\Prospecting\ListManager in the "path" filed and press "yes" Then click "next" three times The program will install itself then ask you to press "finish" to complete the installation

4 Installing BulkMailer

Go again to the Software sub-directory and double click on the "wcst2118.exe"

file When the small dialog box opens, press "Next" twice In the next box,

Browse, select C:/QuickStart/Prospecting/BulkMailer - then click Next, Next,

Finish

The only thing left to do now, is to go back to each of the three directories in turn, and right-click on the program icons Continue holding the mouse button down and drag the icons to a common location on your desktop, where you can "create shortcut(s)" to the programs This will make it easy to open your programs

whenever you need to use them

In anticipation of the following session, please go to the Prospecting directory and create a fourth sub-directory named Lists

Your Directory structure should now be:

Putting it all Together

Lead generation is the most important part of any Online marketing business What I am going to teach you now is how to get a constant supply of fresh targeted leads You probably already suspect that this process involves harvesting addresses from

classified ads

Collecting Classified Site Addressess

What I'd like you to do now is to connect to the Internet and call up "Google" or any other search engine For Google, just click the link in the previous sentence or type

www.google.com into the address line of your browser

Note: if you have an older browser, you may have to type the entire address

http://www.hotbot.com , but most modern browsers don't require you to use the whole URL You can simply type Yahoo, Infoseek, or hotbot and the search engines will

appear

Now type "classified ads" into the Search Engine's search field, you'll be presented with

a page containing 10 classified ad sites At the bottom of the page is a link to the "next" page containing another 10 In total you will be presented with between 60 and 100 pages Yahoo lists a total of 874 classified ad sites at this moment
