1 Inversion after negative adverbials:
1.1 Neverhardly… (hầu như không) seldomrarelylittle (Ít/ không)
Scarcely… when/barely … when/hardly … when/no sooner … than (vừa mới đã)
Ex: Scarcely had she entered the room when the phone rang
Barely had the train left the station, there was an explosion
Little did she think that I knew all about her
1.2 Only later/only than/only after/only when/only if +
clause/V-ing + main clause (đảo ngữ)
Ex: Only after I posted the letter, had I realized that I had forgotten to pit on a stamp
Ex: Only after a year did I begin to feel bored with that job

3.2 Such + be (chia) + N/adj Noun + that + clause = so
much/so great
