*Ways of adding “ing” after verbs:

1) The way ts that we add “ing” normally after a verb to make “Ving”

2) When the verb has a syllable which is ended by one

consonant and has a vowel before it, double the last

consonant before adding “ing”; except for below last consonant “w/y/z”

3) When the verb is ended by one “e”, drop the last “e” before adding “ing”

4) When the verb has 2 syllables which has the stress on

the second syllable, is ended by one consonant and has a vowel before it, double the last consonant before adding

“ing”; except for below last consonant “w /y/z”
