OBJECTIVES

1 Educational aim:

Students should appreciate the nature

2 Knowledge

General knowledge: Students learn about the nature Language

New words: Words related to the nature, especially sea animals

Skills:

Speaking about the ways of conserving the nature especially sea animals

METHOD: Integrated, mainly communicative

TEACHING AIDS: Real objects and pictures showing the nature,

especially sea animals

Teacher’s Activities Student’s Activities Warm-up (4 mn)

Show pictures of polluted seas

and asks questions:

1) What can you see in the

pictures?

2) What does’ friendly with

nature’ mean?

Pre-speaking (7 mn)

Students’ answers:

1) We can see polluted seas.

2) It means ‘not doing harm to the natural environment.

Class organization: Students sit in pair

and what we should or shouldn’t

Teacher walks around the

class and offering ideas and

comments when students need

help and encouraging them to

give their reasons Then

teacher selects some pairs at

random to give their orders

I think that action….is the most important because if we learn all

we can about the oceans we will understand their values and try to protect them

Task 2

Teacher: Work in groups Below are

some threats to the health of the oceans.

Read the example in task 2 for a few

minutes.

Now, discuss the consequences that may

occur and offer some possible solutions.

Teacher walks around the class and

offers ideas and comments when

students need help… Then teacher

selects some pairs at random to give

their consequences and solutions

Post-speaking (12 mn)

Teacher ask the group represents to

report their discussions

Teacher assigns homework

Comments (2 mn)

Students work in groups

Students’ answers may vary

To achieve fluency, students learn the expressions and sentences used for making suggestions about nature conservation and have more practice at home
