I.Objectives:

IV.Procedure:

1 Warm up: Pre-question: -Do you like singing?

-Can you sing anEnglish song ?

-Which English songs do you know?

-Have you heard “ Auld lang syne”?

2.Pre-listening;

-Explain the title of the song “Auld lang syne”

-Auld: old

-Lang:long

-Syne: since

-Vocabylary: -acquaintance (n) (explain)

-trusty (adj) (translation)

Check : jumpled words

- Let somebody guess the functions of the missing words

3.While –listening:

-Ask students to listen to the tape twice (stop at each sentence if necessary) -Ask ss to fill in the gaps then compare with other partners

-Play the tape one more time

-Ask ss to give their answer
